I would like to know where I can apply directly for the Green Card (Green
Card Lottery)!
I do not want to use a lottery service. Instead I would like to apply for it
directly at the State Department.
Does anybody of you know the website to it?
Applying through such a lottery service (e.g. http://www.usagc.org) costs at
least 35$ and you can't be sure on whether they do everything as you want it
to.
Therefore I want to apply for the green card myself. Is it true that it the
participation in the green card lottery program itself is free?

yes, it's free. type "diversity visa lottery" in google and you will
find it

for whenever DV 2006 link appears
however, the rules are not out yet,
they will be out at the end of August and the application period will
most likely run sometime in Oct, Nov or December. last year it ran from
Nov through Dec.
