Question:
I am currently involved in an Internet
relationship with a woman from Canada.
Vancouver to be precise. I am going
over there in December and would
like to stay there for 6-7 months.
I live in Adelaide, South Australia.
I have been
told by my travel agent that currently
there is no Visa requirements if
you are only staying in Canada for
a month on vacation, for Australian
citizens with an Australian passport.
Is this true? Intially I was going
to only be there for a month, but
we have since changed our plans
as I explained above. We intend
on getting married sometime soon,
we've been together 'online' for
a year, and one month in real life.
I was wondering
if some kind soul could provide
us with some information on how
we could go about this? We've found
out that I can get a student/work
visa which would allow me to stay
in Canada for a year. Eventually
I hope to gain permanent residence
