Question:
My name is Sunil and I have a valid
H1B Visa from my current employer
and visiting India for my wedding
in November (I don't need the visa
stamping for myself ). My question
is whether I should use drop box facility
for my spouse H4 visa (first time
visa) or can I take a consulate appointment
as I know the dates of my marriage.
If so, can you please provide me the
useful link for consulate appointment
and the instructions?

Your spouse has to visit US consulate in Chennai.
They ask lot of document from the H1B holder at this time
Please visit:
www.immigrationportal.com and search for the thread related
to H visa you will find lot of info for Chennai US consulate and
documents they ask at this time, if the primary applicant H1B Visa
holder have been on Bench in past or Salary given by the employer did
not match with LCA then you have to face problems they are
investigating all the past H1b holder history and employer history they
need all the past petition copies certified by lawyer, all the past w-2
and many documents
