Cons Of Illegal Immigration

Why is it that Conservatives OBJECT to illegal immigrants but OPPOSE any real enforcement of laws being violated by businesses hiring illegal labor?

Rick Santorum opposes hitting businesses hard that hire illegals why is that?

Answer:

You cons have a double standard! If you REALLY want to curb all this illegal immigrants flooding the nation, then crack down on businesses hiring them. If we had the INS raiding businesses and the IRS right behind them who could then go throught their books and tell them say you can't DEDUCT the LABOR costs associated with hiring undocumented workers then you wouldn't NEED a fence. They would be climbing over themselves to get back accross the border!

But the cheap labor tastes good for the profits it yields. Face it CONs your businesses who hire illegals are REALLY STEALING from TAXPAYERS who pay their share to the IRS. We pay OUR Social Security Taxes, we and our legit employers PAY the Medicare taxes, unemployment ..... GET IT?

When you cheat and skip out on paying taxes you make more money. But you're doing that by stealing... from honest tax payers.

So you want a fence? Crack down hard on businesses hiring illegals and you would need a 6 lane highway heading south to Mexico!

No they wouldn't, not with all the other freebees from Dim policies they get when they come here (free health care, public education, etc.). Why are you not willing to do something against ALL of the contributing factors--go after the illegals themselves criminally and get rid of them, go after the businesses that hire them, and shut down any support they currently get from government? But you lefties don't have the stones for that, do you? You lefties have to blame someone else for taking advantage of a crisis you created, rather than accept your responsibility in the affair and address the problem directly and from all fronts. It's all about the peasantification of the US middle-class. The Neocons need us to work in the fields on their great estates and it won't happen until our salary expectations have been massively reduced by having to compete with illegals.

They aren't doing it! The standard line is that the illegals do jobs Americans won't do. Picking lettuce in a hot field is hard and the pay is low. Carpentry, plumbing, & electrical work are highly skilled and higher paying fields which illegals are taking for less pay than Americans.

THAT'S the trouble! You CONs LOVE the savings and extra profits you can profit by USING illegal labor.

I agree there. But it'll work only so far. People are starting to get fed up. I remember hearing how it was only the migrant workers or just the jobs Americans won't do. But in Pennsylvania you see more and more Hispanics who can't speak the language working here. I don't have a problem with immigrants per se. I do have a problem with illegal labor suppressing the value of labor. If you do carpentry or plumbing for $12/hour then why would we hire you when I can hire a Mexican for $8.00 and hour? And the best part illegals work under the table so if you hire them you have a competitive advantage over your competition since no workens comp insurance, no unemployment, no SS, etc.

I totally concur but would add: "..except for the pensioners heading south to get prescription meds and retirement because they can't afford them here!"

And if you compare the Federal Supply Schedule of prices the VA pays for drugs and compare it to what Medicare Part D subscribers pay for drugs you are shocked!
