Question:
Presently I am working as Software
Developer in Canada (we used a Pilot
project to get an employment authorization).
Now I'm going to apply for immigration
through Buffalo. An arranged employment
would give me 10 extra points. First
question: is it possible at all
to come through the immigration
process without the interview having
more then 70 points before personal
suitability factor, but applying
not in native country (I am Russian)?
Second question: is it enough to
have a job now (I have contract
with recruiter for 1 year and current
placement for 6 month) and have
a letter from the company I am working
for, that they will hire me full
time when my contract with recruiter
expired (this company is not a recruiter,
but software company)? Or we still
need to go through "Job validation"
process with HRCD? In another words,
what minimal set of documents an
emigration officer will consider
as arranged employment? .
Answer:
Interview waivers are at the discretion
of the visa officer who reviews
your application. See below. If
you have sufficient points on pre-assement
as you seem to have (65 point+ absent
personal suitability points is my
rough cut-off) then there is little
need for validated employment although
such a validation may be further
incentive for a visa officer to
grant a waiver of interview.
