Green Card Application - Which DOCUMENTS do I need to send in?
Question:

I am currently applying for my greencard. I have just about completed all of the forms (barring the medical), however, I was wondering if anybody could list all of the supporting documentation that I need to send in, ie. tax forms etc.

As my wife is a student, I will be supplying my income info. as support for my green card. Do I need to get a letter from my bank?

Answer:

You are applying for adjustment of status based on marriage to a US Citizen, correct? If so, your wife needs to complete form I-864 and if you have lived in the household, your income may be included on form I-864A.

You need to read the I-864 as it clearly states all the documentation that is required to be sent with this form. Yes, employment letter, tax returns/transcripts for three years, bank letter, etc are requirements.
