Question:
If Diana is not 'fond of' the USA why was she frequently photographed
in the green Eagles jacket? USA flag sweaters for health club visits?
(This was during divorce negotiations,so USA flag could have been
symbolic of "freedom" and Eagles team logo too.)
Is Dodi a USA citizen or is he on a "Green Card" temporary visa?
Dodi married a model for a few months? Was she a USA citizen when he
married her? Did anyone see the movie "Green Card"?
Dodi's houses in Beverly Hills,Gsstaad(?). France? etc.etc.etc.:
Does he OWN them or RENT them?????
Would Diana be "allowed" to marry a USA citizen or would he need to
resign his USA citizenship? How long does a "green card" last? Can
it be renewed? Is Dodi still an Egyptian citizen or is he a
British subject?
Answer:
Dodi wants to offer Diana "palaces in exile." It's been reported he is
considering an ocean front property in Malibu in the price range of $10
million, and that he and Diana will move into the Paris home of the Duke
and Duchess of Windsor, which is already in the al Fayed family. The
chateau will be vacant and ready to be redecorated as the contents have
gone to auction for charity. Diana's complaining of never finding a man
who would put up with her being on the front page of the world's
newpapers every day, have been put to rest once and for all. "Glamorous,
passionate, attention-seeking: they are made for each other," Lynda
Lee-Potter writes in the Daily Mail. A couple whose only fight will be
for the mirror?
Uh, Diana is an extremely urban lady, as is evidenced by the trips she
takes, & the fun she likes to have: discos, beaches, shopping. One of the
reasons she & the P.O.W. split is that she had pretended to be countrified
before their marriage, but told him she loathed Balmoral, riding etc.,
afterwards. HE is the countrified one: happiest in his garden or the farm
or managing the Duchy.
In this respect, Dodi & Diana are made for each other (Though I confess I
*don't* know a *thing* about her feelings for America as a residence).
(Okay, give Diana the benefit of the doubt: perhaps she was blinded w/the
romance of it all & didn't realize how much she really would dislike
Balmoral, etc....)
by Peter Weir) an American woman agrees to marry a Frenchman,
in name only,so he can legally remain in America...but when the
Immigration Authorities investigate, she is forced to spend time
with the man. Cute romantic-comedy,may have been written by
Peter Weir, the director,am not certain... Gerard Depardieu is
charming in his English-language debut. Andie MacDowell is
great in this also. It is rated PG-13.
If anyone knows who is the Producer of this delightful film
please post here.....Could Dodi have been a backer??????
I love the movie Green Card and always
watch it on cable when it comes around with the little old woman in the
building hearing jungle drums. It is so romantic .They were great together
as were the couple who play her parents. What Dodi owns is a mystery. Most
of what is in the papers is owned by Mohammed Al Fayed his father and his
ownership is suspicious as well seeming to come from other sources. One
reason he could not get citizenship for Great Britain was his mysterious
business deals and the source of his income. Dodi married an American (
United States ) model in 1986 and has a residence card from this says Al
Fayed's spokespeople. He must have one which allows him in and out and is
probably the reason he bought shares in the movie production company here.
He can keep renewing it and might not even have informed INS of his
divorce. If he did not notify immigration that he was divorced long ago he
could keep his green card going. When he married he would fill out with his
wife ( and perhaps was the reason for marriage as it only lasted 8 mos. )
tons of papers, need his passport from Egypt, his fingerprints, a physical
and a thumb print as well as a pix of both his right ear and the right ear
of the woman he married. Then they would present all of this in a room of
hundreds waiting their turn to see an individual agent who would ask trick
questions as in the movie and he would have to show some love for the woman
he married. Pix are good if taken at home with the one trying for the green
card cooking or hugging his wife's mother or uncles and aunts. If they turn
up some funny business then you must come back again with your stories
straight and then if still thought funny you must hire a lawyer and try
again. This is done with people coming from the Middle East particularly in
an attempt to keep out terrorists. Kelly and Ali actually in love were not
believed in California which is ironic as they did , or at least she did
love him and still does. They had to return three times and finally with a
lawyer but an Iranian is treated especially carefully and not believed. He
did finally make it ( I think because he was raised in England from age 6
and speaks in a very British accent ) and is now a citizen !!!! Dodi is an
Egyptian citizen and probably would like a British citizenship as has been
refused his father. If he married Diana he could get one and then file for
one for his father and any other relatives. Kelly's Ali brought in his
whole family starting out with only his green card from marrying Kelly. I
wonder if Al Fayed is after this ? Diana was given some of the jackets by
Elton John and Michael Jackson as were William and Harry as I guess they
love things from the United States. Diana was just wearing them as fashion
like the Beatle wig hats, boots and so one when they were fashion leaders .
She has only made brief visits here when the boys are with Charles and
holidays for a time. She is not as close to her friend in Washington now
and seems to prefer places such as Barbuda where it is hot and she can swim
a great deal. She came for the white water rafting near the Goldie Hawn
estate after she and the boys saw the Meryl Streep movie in which she was
doing the same. I do not think that she would leave England as it is her home.
I have to say, I am nonoe to happy about Diana, or for that matter,
Beatrice or Eugenie, wearing Eagles jackets. Nothing to do with
snobbery or royal protocol - it is just that I am from North Jersey
originally, and of course, they should be wearing Giants jackets. Well,
Di can buy her own, but maybe on day Bea and Eugenie will get a little
present from me....:-)
