I am writing this on behalf of a friend who is from a
European country that is valid to take part in the lottery.
They have been an au-pair in the uk for some time, what are the
requirements ?
Do they neeed a sponsor from a job or someone that can give them
references. Are the probabilities of getting one lowered by having no
connections in the USA, only friends. In general what is needed exept
basic education.

The info says that applicants for the 2005 lottery will be notified by
June-July!
Does this mean that the applicants for next years entry should all have
been notified by June-July this year ?
I ask this because i was wondering if a friend of mine would know by
now! when they applied, they did so on paper, this time it's online
applicants only & i wonder if the circumstances have changed!
