My mother has got a permanent resident stamp in her passport based on the
family based petition in October of 2003.
She has not received her actual green card yet, however.
Can someone advise me if there is any online service or site where I can get
information when is the green card going to be mailed to her?
Answer:
my wife and stepson also got the I-551 stamps in their
passports in October 2003, and as yet no green cards. I downloaded and
completed a form to inquire about them which I sent off to Vermont on
January 27, but to date no response!
Which office did your wife use?
This is nothing to worry about. It can take well over a year to get the
card mailed, although some people reported getting the cards very quickly,
in a matter of weeks. My own took about six months.
