I have a friend who is doing business in IT industry from Malaysia interested to relocate to United States.

Does US government grant green card through investment? If yes, what is the minimum investment and also the success rate for this type of application?

Answer:

$1M investment and hiring 10 Americans or Permanent Residents.

Can I said that if I invest USD1mil to setup a company in United States and hiring 10 US citizen (fund from the USD1mil investment earlier). I should be able to apply for the Visa immediattely upon arriving United States? What is the success rate for this kind of application?.

The sucess rate is very limited...There are 10000 EB-5 visas available every year...in 2004 124 were issued .....

Google EB-5 visa for more info .............but you invest the money and apply for the visa before you enter the country ..and its not a fast process

In this case, can I know what are the other options we have in order to relocate to US? I know the Green Card Lottery is one of them, but I don't know if there are others.
