They tell you you have "freedoms," but in some cases will separate you
from your closest family members for 5/10 years or even life;
They tell you you have "rights," but those rights do not include a
family (contrary to UN Convention on Human Rights language);
They tell you you have "a rule of law," but the executive (i.e., CIS)
hide their contact info. as much as possible, make arbitrary and
capricious decisions and are unaccountable;
They tell you you have "democracy," but the legislature will not
return your calls, letters, emails, and wil give you some volunteer
staff member to liason your case;
They tell you you have "justice," but the US courts are largely
prohibited from touching immigration appeals (and Consulate decisions
are not part of any appellate process);
They tell you you have to "strive for the 'American dream,'" [sic] but
that may have to include leaving America for good if part of that
dream includes a loved one;
They tell you many other lies, so tell them 8 USC § 1481 is your
response to their terrorist ways and means (bin Laden also "separates"
people he does not like), don't slog through their process like a
victim, they are evil incarnate!

You do realize you have some serious issues.
I think you should see a psychiatrist who will then dig into your mind and
help you try and discover the roots of your latent irrational hatred toward
the US., because apparently you don't know them, at least not consciously.
I have some theories of my own though.
Were you kicked out of the US?
Or did you return voluntarily to Europe and do you regret it now, because
your life sucks compared to what it was in the US?
Or is it because you cannot deal with your own ambivalence towards the US?
E.g. hating everything US but having shelves filled with American CDs & DVDs
and watching TV that runs American shows most of the time?
Or is it because you are frustrated about the US doing exactly what they
want and always getting away with it in the end?
These are just a couple of educated guesses.
A good shrink can perform wonders. In your case it's going to be expensive
though, but I'm sure you'd be surprised what you'd find out about yourself.
I've not followed the rest of this thread and therefore don't want to take
sides, however it's this presumed superiority which creates America so many
enemies. Perhaps your attitude is one of the contributing factors to this
person's attitude.
Sadly, most Americans don't spend enough - if any - time abroad.
Spending a couple of weeks even somewhere as apparently friendly as the UK
would really open your eyes as to why most of the world despises America and
everything it stands for. Not least your intolerance and inconception of
those who would despise it.
I have been to third world countries all over the Carribean and South
America and have not run into this hatred. I think it is because they
choose to judge me not the U.S. I do try to learn/respect their language
and customs. I am always glad to be home though. How many of our waiting
fiancee have used the time to become FLUENT in their spouses language?
Hmmmm. I can think of dozens of other positive things to do. What do you
know about the history of their homeland. For that matter are you up to
snuff on your own history? lol. A lot of all this anger could be
redirected into positive channels I think.
Pablito sounds Mexican in origin, maybe you should go back to the
homeland before criticising others free-will choices (you Patriot you)?
America is an empire in decline, that much is obvious to all but
Americans who are spoon-fed propaganda (much like the poor souls
residing under the USSR).
The real issue is why American famililes, loved-ones are being broken
apart under draconian laws - surely only a tyrant like Soddom Insane
would partake in such activities, not good ole' America, eh?
