question is how long does it take for
the immigration to release the bond?

Question:
I was charged with overstaying my visa, thrown in jail was released on
a $10,000 bond. In June of this year I was awarded the green card and
my case was closed. Since then I have received my green card and stamp
in passport. But I have been waiting for the release of the bond, not
my money, till this day. My question is how long does it take for the
immigration to release the bond? And is there any way for me to speed
up the process?
Answer:
When I was working for immigration
bail bond comp any... back pre 9/11
er a... it usually takes up to 3 months
before the INS back then send us an
exoneration letter. I'm not sure now.
But I seen something like at least
30 days. Did you use a bondsman or
did you or a third party pay it directly
to the USCIS.. My friend paid it directly
to immigration in the form of a check.
