the community and economy. The majority of illigal
immigrants would be a burden on the economy for
some years.
What we should have is a migrant probation period,
they get approved to come here (in any manner)
and are provided with govt housing and some basic
food via special facilities for 6 months. After that
period they have to have found full time work or
leave. They cannot apply for citizenship until they
have been here and employed in excess of 12 months.
And all govt cash welfare is restricted to citizens only.
Not being able to come here and bludge would discourage
many of the illegal immigrants.
