| New Immigration Legislation (Bill C-31)--what happened? |
Question:
Several weeks ago, Immigration Canada posted a large number of details
about it's new proposed immigration legislation that was tabled in April.
Sounds great. But, I checked the web-site today, and it seems that any
mention of this new legislation has vanished?
Answer:
Last Sunday on the advice of the Prime
Minister dissolution of Canadian Parliament
was proclaimed by the Governor General
and a new general election called
for November 27. All pending Bills
seized to exist and may or may not
be introduced in their existing or
changed form to the new Parliament
after the election.
