I'm a telecom engg & just given IELTS hopefully i should get req band
in that , i was just preparing for my CDR nd all for skill assessement
. can you suggest me if its wise to do everything of own or should i
hire a agent/consultant for everything because most guys i know have
taken consultants but I myself this its not a big deal to prepare paper
& all because I have spend alot of time figuring out the procedures nd
all but then I'm afraid if i do some mistake I will loose alot of money
& top of it TIME ....?
Answer:
We did it ourselves, it is hard work though and you need to set some
time aside to do it all - this site is invaluable for information if you
can't afford the 2 thousand that an agent charges. However if you can
afford it and time is limited for you I would go with an agent
If you are confident enough to do it yourself, then you should go ahead
especially if your case is not complicated.
myself and the OH are nurses and we did it ourselves. Yeah it is time
consuming and alot of repetition with form filling in but yes it can be
done without an agent.
If you are thorough and can interpret instructions, and your case is clear-
cut, you'll be ok to do it yourself. If your case involves any doubt,
then pay up. As you said yourself, if you messed it up enough to miss
out, you'd be pretty annoyed that you didn't spend the money.
We did it ourselves but had plenty of points and the time to invest.
Believe me, it needed lots of time. But then, you might end up investing
that time chasing an agent to keep things moving...
