Why not LEGAL immigration?
Question:

I can't believe Bush wants to encourage illegal immigration! Why not supply the needs of the country for immigrants by more effiecient legal immigration? If you have legal immigration, you have control over who enters the country, and, can stop criminals, terrorists, people carrying infectious disease, and, people who will not support themselves from entering the country. Mexico controls it's immigration, why can't the US control it's immigration?

Answer:

Take a look at the backlogs for family-based legal immigration. If you are from India, Mexico, or Philippines, it may take you over a decade to get your immigration case heard. Many of the illegal immigrants have families in legal status in the US, and they simply got tired of waiting, so they crossed the border illegally hoping to adjust their status in the future. http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi_bulletincurrent.html

A decade? You are high. A US citizen, who immigrated legally from the Philippines, attempting to bring a married brother or sister, or married adult child, has to wait 22 years. That's why Bush's dumb ass plan is like spitting in the face of these people who are patiently waiting to immigrate legally.

Because Bush and his people are capitalists. They want to lower wages asmuch as possible in order to increase profits. Therefore, the more cheap labor they can import and the more jobs they can export the better for the people (corporations) that are backing them.

I happen to be closely familiar with the cases of numerous Philippine nationals we are in the U.S. awaiting adjustment of status. Most of them traveled to the U.S. on a B-2 visas and stayed here after their visa expired. They are here as illegally as the Mexicans who crossed the border without inspection.

Well, good for you. I don't doubt it at all. But you'll note that's not what I wrote about. I'm talking about people who came here LEGALLY and followed all the rules. The wait for them to LEGALLY bring a family member here can be as long as 22 years.

I wrote to express outrage that some spic who swam the Rio Grande last night now expects amnesty while others patiently wait 1/3 of thier lives to do it the right & LEGAL way.

With this kind of thinking expect to be contacted by the FBI and Homeland Security. It's way too rational and contrary to the Bush plan.

And so are you, Graphic Cunt, for not paying your taxes. In many societies you would also be a criminal since you are so deeply in debt and not paying your creditors.

So give it a break. Immigrants are here to stay.

GQ, Bucko gets pretty desperate doesn't he? So two wrongs make a right? Even if anyone where behind in their taxes, its not criminal and at least they are here legally in this country. That somehow compares to illegal immigration? LOL. What a desperate loser he is!

Yeah you're right Bucko, immigrants are here to stay if they came here legally and rightly so! Forgot what the word illegal alien means? Not the same as immigrants. Why are you so confused and desperate and misleading?

1. Because serving the good of the _country_ is not the objective. 2. Because our American creed cannot endorse importation of slaves. 3. Give our aristocrats time, dear. They are working on it. It is called a "Guest Worker" program.

But bringing order out of chaos would adversely affect leveling of the playing field.

Because Mexico is a "developing" country, and the US has to be bankrupted before we can be on a level playing field with Mexico and all the other "developing" countries in the world. It is called third world momentum. And you just can't achieve that level of poverty without throngs of illiterate, third world peasants.

So, open your arms, boy, and welcome all these wonderful people. We have a long, long journey to the bottom ahead of us, and you should learn to love the hordes who will be traveling with you down the road to Hell that the aristocracy has all charted out. We've got a long way to go before we hit bottom.

Others have probably said this, but it rates repeating: Other than that very small number of talented, highly-skilled individuals (mostly scientists), we don't need Immigration, legal or illegal. These proposals just amount to legalizing something that, for the average American, is a negative in itself.

Everyone who enjoys earning less money, and would like to earn even less, raise your hand. To add injury to the insults and injuries we already sustain, we are all earning, on average, almost $2000 a year less than we would be if these people weren't here.
