Question:
1. I have just done the police clearance
and got the report based on the
passport which is expiring in 6
months. It is the requirement that
photcopies of relevant pages of
passport are required to be submitted
as part of the total required documents.
I am afraid that the tenure of this
passport would definitely not be
sufficient. The new passport with
the validity period of 5 years is
expected to be issued in 3 weeks'
time and I have to get the relevant
pages together with the old ones
to be submitted together as the
police report bears my old passport
number. Is this the right procedure?
2. Would I
have to declare my loans and debts
in the forms? I should be settling
them by disposing them before going
to Canada if the migration plans
are smooth running.
Answer:
In reply to your inquiries:
1. If you
are expecting to receive your new
passport within 3 weeks, it may
be better for you to wait to submit
your application for Canadian permanent
residency.
2. As applications
are assessed at the time that they
are submitted, you must provide
a picture of your fiancial at the
present time. For more information
