Question:

Can anyone tell me where in Halifax it would be possible to have a passport photo taken, and leave the shop with it right there and then? I live in a rural area and have a friend with an about-to-expire passport, and we'd like to take care of it in a single trip to the city if possible.

There's no more waiting for a passport photo anymore , they all have cameras that do them right away.....

Quinpool Rd. next to the Oxford theatre, for one...

I had mine done at Wal Mart. You have them taken and printed in minutes.

I had mine done at Costco recently - they were only about $7 from what I remember. A friend had them done at Black's, and they were closer to $20. I think Wal-Mart and Superstore would be cheap as well - the Superstore website says they're $9.99 and that the Chain Lake and Joseph Howe Drive locations have the passport photo service.

Try Atlantic Photo Supply on the corner of Spring Garden Road and Birmingham St. They do it while you wait.

Superstore is cheaper for prints of digitals, and I find their quality better. Might be the same with passport photos.

I had mine done last year at Shoppers Drug Mart, Downsview mall area, in Lr Sackville. Excellent job, quick within minutes and it was only $8.
