Question:

Ilegal immigration costs Texas Billions every year?

Illegal Immigration Costs Texans $4.7 Billion a Year

Well it costs the government, in a sense, but it cannot cost the Texans or Americans in general, simply because those $4.7 billion are used to pay OTHER Texans or Americans to provide the services to illegals. So the money simply recirculates. You could, however, argue that the money could be used in more productive ways, such as building roads and stuff.

Very simplistic economics here.

The $4.7 billion returns to the local economy. If it is hospital costs, it goes for salaries, supplies, electricity, etc. If it is schools, it goes for teachers, supplies, construction of buildings. The money keeps moving around, and is not burried in some deep pit.

No illegals IN HERE BEFORE 2000?

MUBWHAHAHAHAH!!!

ILLEGALS CHANGE YER BEDPAN, BILLY!

but it hits most Americans in the pocket and cuts into their available income for their personal needs and debts.

That's what we've done. A lot of the NAFTA funds are used to fix up Interstate 35 "NAFTA Freeway", build new weigh stations and to fund small town police forces along the route.

You made an excellent point - that the money we spend to support the Mexicans, we spend on ourselves as well. But that's only for people who actually work.

Ginger's complaint is that uneducatable, unemployable, drunken rednecks such as herself don't get anything from it.

Oh, you're one of those White Seperatist types. You don't like the idea of paying taxes... regardless of the benefit.

That's why we give guns to treasury agents.

And you are one of those Mexican ass kisser types. That is why the American people have the right to bear arms.

If it feeds the economy, the impact is far less. This is not $4.7 billion that disappears. It moves from one place to another, and is taxed at every step.

Perhaps, but most citizens are more interested in their individual bank accounts than an overall economy impact. Besides why play Russian Roulette with illegal immigration this way? These illegals shouldn't even be part of the equasion in this country, economically or any other way.

What about the remittance money sent to Mexico, does that feed the economy?

Why do you always defend illegal immigration.

There you go again, excuse and excuse again saying the money circulate, that's BS. Our Money = Our Energies, not yours. Easy for you to say when you want it for free.

Of course it costs money to run the operation to patrol the illegal aliens. If they aren't here then the money could have been used for something else.

Stop making wrong thing look right away.

Since the workers create so much wealth for us, they're more than welcome to their fair share.

Macroeconomics or Microeconomics - either way, the immigrants are good for our economy. That's why we not only *allow* them in... we pay them to come here.

Because it's the right thing to do. Just because you're terrified of Mexicans is no reason for anyone else to be.

Then why are you bigots making them a factor? They've always been here, and they always will... and there's not a god damned thing you can do to stop it.

Hahahaha. Actually it just doesn't circulate to *you*. Most of the rest of us benefit from the undocumented workers' efforts.

It's not your money. In order for you to earn that money you'll have to get your drunken, sugar-frosted, beef-eater ass off the couch and go do something for somebody.

And if Texas summers weren't hot, we wouldn't need air-conditioning. But that's not the way the real world works.

Why don't you explain exactly who "us" is?

Wow - a bigot who doesn't understand common, two-letter words. What a surprise.

I do not defend illegal immigration.

I just dislike bad analysis of economic data... and the article is simplistic and bad economics at their worst.

And the remittances to Mexico, which are less than 5% of what the US spends on imported petroleum, are another example of money that does not disappear but continues to work its way around the economy. Or do you think it just goes to Mexico and evaporates?

Well how about you send me 5% of your income David? It will not evaporate, it will work its way around the economy, so don't worry about that.

I've always found fascinating how people confuse "explanations" with "excuses". I'm not giving excuses. I'm explaining REALITY to you. No excuse.

I don't want anything to free; I'm an economist who lives in Mexico City, who works hard for his money. All I'm trying to do is, as I said, give you some clarity about the economic REALITY of the world.

Well of COURSE it costs money! Who gets paid that money? The BP agents, right? What do they do with that money? They go buy stuff from Americans, right? That money eventually comes back right back into YOUR pocket. My ONLY point is that taxed money, no matter how it is spent, is NEVER a net drain on the economy, because wealth CIRCULATES.

Indeed it does; it's part of international trade. The dollars are first exchanged for pesos, and then wired to Mexico. Then those dollars are bought by a Mexican businessman or tourist who comes right back and spends the money in the US. Is quite simple if you think about it.

I had a nice lengthy, response all about economics. But that would go waaaaay over your little bigot head. So I think I'll just say... Jesus Christ, you're sofa king stupid!
